This community committee organises, manages and runs the event raising much needed funds on behalf of local schools charities. In past years Oakwood Community Playgroup (charity no: 1067670), Oakwood Infant School (charity no: 1075810) and Greenfields Junior School (charity no: 1093055) have all benefited. The 2016 event raised over £5000.00, which was divided equally amongst the charities.
The evening is a ticketed event hosted in a marquee on the cricket green which is assembled for the Hampshire Cricket Club annual testimonial match. It is a relaxed formal evening and a great excuse to dress up, eat some fabulous food and dance the night away!
Our Story
The Friends of Hartley Wintney Schools organise, manage and run the Event on the Green which is an annual event, running since 2005, in which Oakwood Community Playgroup, Oakwood Infants School and Greenfields Junior School collaborate to raise funds. This year we are pleased to extend our support to The Grey House and look forward to now collaborating with all our local schools!
